My friend is in the process of buying a home in Rusk County, Wi. She has rented the three bedroom house from the Rusk County Housing Authority for 20 years. The staff at the Rusk Housing Authority informed her that they do not have the Deed/Abstract of the property at 717 E 9Th St S, Ladysmith, WI 54848 and it would be her responsibility to find it. This is absolutely ridiculous! When a seller is selling property it is not the buyer’s responsibility regarding the Deed/Abstract. What advice could the forum give my friend?
