The 2006 A HOME FOR EVERYONE Affordable Housing Conference will be held in Green Bay, WI on July 26 & 27, 2006. This year is the 10th Anniversary of the Conference, so there will be some extra special events and moments to commemorate this milestone. Pencil in the dates, more detail and information will be provided.

As we embark on the second decade of this event, we decided to throw in a new element to the Conference this year. For the first time, the conference agenda will include roundtable discussions on topics suggested by the people who plan to attend the conference. Members of the conference planning committee have seen this idea work well at other conferences. It offers an opportunity for attendees to help design the agenda and to make sure it includes topics and issues important to them.

We have set aside 90 minutes over breakfast on the second day of the conference for the roundtable event. Now, this is where we need YOUR input. We are asking you to put on your thinking cap and come up with some suggested topics for discussion at the roundtables. Rather than sending in a very broad discussion topic, like "Subsidized Housing" or "Green Housing" or "Senior Housing", try to provide some information on why we should discuss this topic, why is this relevant to Affordable Housing, why is it important that people sit and discuss this topic? We will try to have tables for as many topics as possible.

Please email your suggestions for roundtable topics to billperkins@wphd.org as soon as you can.

Not sure you're going to attend the conference? Still want to suggest a topic? Sure, go ahead. Then think again about coming to the Conference and participating in the discussion - be a part of the process and experience - you'll learn something and have a good time!
